This is a question that we hear frequently and the truth is that there is no single answer to it. However, the most common answer is, lack of content. Let's say you are a retailer selling purple widgets and you build a website to tell the world about your business. The site has a home page, an about page and a contact page - possibly a short article about purple widgets. Each page has a couple of paragraphs, so that's about eight paragraphs in total.

According to Wikipedia, a responsive design is"...an approach to web design in which a site is crafted to provide an optimal viewing experience—easy reading and navigation with a minimum of resizing, panning, and scrolling—across a wide range of devices (from desktop computer monitors to mobile phones)."

Many small-business owners think they need a Web site. They're not sure what they will do with it, but everyone is telling them they should have one and in most cases, they're right. A Web site can be an important marketing tool for almost every small business, but there may be exceptions.
